19 of the Russian's 21 titles have been won on hard courts
A revitalized Medvedev secured his first title for over two years with victory over opponent Moutet in the tournament championship match.
The Russian, a former world number one, has experienced a difficult period, managing just one match at the major tournaments and experiencing a meltdown at the American major.
His inconsistency on the tennis tour - and struggles with his serving in especial - led to him exiting of the elite rankings and finally splitting with former mentor Cervara.
Now training with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently advanced in the last few weeks - climaxing in a tightly fought competitive victory over challenger Moutet.
It is his maiden trophy following the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hard surface since that period of that year.
The win also signifies he has secured twenty-one victories at 21 distinct competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a tournament with my two daughters at once, so to get a trophy is especially meaningful," commented tennis professional the champion.
"This victory is in tribute of my second daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I won when my first daughter Alisa was born was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his past six finals, featuring in the German tournament previously this season.
The player's counter-punching approach and frequent emotional displays on the playing surface had prompted some to question if his ability to perform at the top level was over.
Yet the athlete has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, making an effort to approach the net and compete positively, reinforced by an improved serve.
Medvedev came back from a disadvantage in the first set against the difficult Moutet, taking 4 of the last five games to gain the advantage.
Both players swapped breaks in the following set before the Frenchman, bidding for his maiden tour title, seized the initiative to create a third set.
Moutet saved four early break points in a competitive final set before the Russian broke to that score to serve for the match.
Fittingly, he secured the title with a shot at the front of the court, with Moutet unable to handle a shot after a lengthy match.
